The Cabaret Festival has been warming Adelaide’s winter feet since 2001 with an intimate program of local and international artists lauded on cabaret circuits far and wide. Tim Minchin, Bernadette Peters and Rhonda Burchmore appeared on its stages. So too have hundreds of aspiring singers, dancers, actors and comedians drawn to the popular Class of Cabaret showcase.

The Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation gives many of these artists a leg-up into Adelaide’s esteemed Cabaret Festival, through the popular Class of Cabaret showcase.

The showcase gives young vocalists a chance to work with professionals, before sharing their talent on the Cabaret Festival stage. The Foundation supports the cabaret festival through the creation of the Nathaniel O’Brien Class of Cabaret Scholarship. Inspired by Nathanial who was a rising star from regional SA who shone at the 2013 festival. Open to Year 10 and 11 students, the scholarship has a bonus as it can count towards SACE assessment.

The Foundation brings people together for extraordinary arts experiences. It aims to showcase the best of the arts and offer their amazing benefits to every South Australian.

Your donation will help the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation support cabaret in South Australia, and our shining stars of tomorrow.
