Submissions for the 2020 Adelaide Cabaret Festival are now open until 9 September.
The Adelaide Cabaret Festival is a curated festival, currently welcoming applications from artists and companies interested in presenting work in the 2020 program, running 5-20 June 2020.
An indication of the kinds of acts that have been chosen by Artistic Directors in the past can be seen here - although we’re always open to hearing about new ideas and acts that forge their own path.
All submissions will receive an automated email notification upon receipt by Adelaide Cabaret Festival, however only successful entries will be personally notified in October 2019.
Due to the high number of submissions, we are regrettably not always able to provide feedback on entries. If we require further information, we will contact you.
Frank Ford Commission
Expressions of interest for the 2020 Frank Ford Commission will be accepted through the open submission process. At this stage we are looking for an outline of idea to be developed and presented through the support of the commission.
To be eligible for the $20,000 commission, projects must be new South Australian cabaret productions to be performed by local artists at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
Only those projects shortlisted for the Frank Ford Commission will then be requested to provide:
- Development budget
- Presentation budget
- Artistic scope
- Project timeline
